Registered Nurse – Surgical Care Unit Location Anchorage, AK Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Job Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse for the Surgical Care Unit. The unit focuses on a high volume of post-surgical and general surgery patients. The registered nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, working collaboratively within the healthcare team, and ensuring effective communication with patients and their families. Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care for post-surgical patients, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications. • Perform assessments and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs. • Collaborate with physicians and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. • Assist in procedures such as NG-tube placement and central line management. • Document patient information accurately using the Epic documentation system. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Must have Med/Surg experience with competency in NG-tube and central line procedures. • BLS certification required. Why ARMStaffing?
