Day 3x12-Hour shifts from 05:30 AM to 06:00 PM, Monday through Thursday.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Observation Unit will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients undergoing ambulatory surgery. This role requires working alongside interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and effective recovery. The nurse will monitor patients and respond to their needs, employing a strong clinical skill set in both adult and pediatric populations.
Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care in the Observation Unit for surgical patients.
• Monitor vital signs and assess patient condition regularly.
• Administer medications and engage in medication reconciliation.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Facilitate patient education regarding health management and post-operative care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
• Valid South Carolina or Compact RN Licensure.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in hospital settings.
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Experience in Trauma Level I or II facilities preferred.
