Registered Nurse - Pulmonary Observation Unit Location This position is located in a dynamic acute care setting. Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, with rotational holidays. Job Description The Pulmonary Observation Unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team. The unit specializes in respiratory diagnoses and cares for adult and geriatric patients. The nurse will provide comprehensive care, including titrating drips and managing tracheostomies (non-vented). Responsibilities • Monitor and assess patient conditions and vital signs. • Administer prescribed medications and treatments. • Titrate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, Lasix, and Amiodarone as required. • Provide care for tracheostomy patients and conduct trach care. • Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure • Current BLS and ACLS certifications. • Experience in Med-Surg, Telemetry, and Critical Drips. • Previous travel nursing experience is required. • Peritoneal Dialysis experience is preferred.
