Responsibilities
The operating room team leader is a registered nurse who functions as a patient care provider, supervisor and expert clinical resource for staff to ensure patient focused care consistent with departmental goals, regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, protocols, and established standards of practice. Primary responsibilities include:
• Orienting, supervising, teaching, and evaluating the competencies and learning needs of personnel in specific services.
• Conducts formal and informal staff education programs for new and continuing employees related to new products, equipment, practice standards.
• Ensures the availability of instruments, equipment, resource material, and supplies within clinical specialty.
• Manages equipment inventory, repair, replacement, and purchase for specialty service.
• Monitoring and evaluating fiscal implications of changes in practice.
• Collaborates with surgeons to develop appropriate plan of care: including the maintenance and updating of preference cards for specific specialty area.
• Collaborates with surgical support services to introduce products, implants and other supplies and equipment specific to the service.
Required Qualifications
• Graduate of a School of Nursing
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License
• Basic Life Support – AHA Required, or obtained within 30 days of hire
• Ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others as a team member

Pay Range
$40.17 - $95.93
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
