RNs and LVNs/LPNs – Geriatric (multiple positions available!) Location: 795 Willow Road Menlo Park, CA 94025 Full-Time | Shifts Available: 8s, 10s, 12s for Days, Evenings or Nights! Job Summary The RN/LPN/LPN provides direct nursing care to Veteran patients within a VA Community Living Center. This role supports elderly Veterans by delivering practical nursing care that meets or exceeds national clinical standards in a highly regulated federal healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities • Provide direct patient care to geriatric Veterans under the supervision of a Registered Nurse • Administer medications and perform clinical procedures within RN/LPN/LPN scope of practice • Monitor vital signs, blood glucose levels, and changes in patient condition • Support chronic disease management and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) • Adhere to Joint Commission (TJC), AHA, CDC, and VA standards • Maintain infection control and patient safety practices • Accurately document care provided, hours worked, and services rendered • Safeguard Veteran health information (PII/PHI) • Complete all required annual VA training Required Qualifications • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) or LVN/LPN license • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification • Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience • Experience with or comfort caring for geriatric patients • Ability to administer medications and perform clinical procedures • Ability to work onsite across varying shift lengths • Fluent in English (verbal and written) Preferred Experience • Prior experience in long-term care, Community Living Centers, or VA facilities • Familiarity with federal healthcare systems or highly regulated environments • Strong documentation and compliance practices
