School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Doylestown, Pennsylvania in Doylestown, PA

A dynamic opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide dedicated school nursing services for the 2025-2026 school year across multiple locations in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This full-time contract position offers a rewarding environment working with K-12 students in diverse school settings. Locations include Hilltown, Langhorne, and the Doylestown surrounding area. The roles focus on 1:1 nursing care with responsibilities such as proactive respiratory care, suctioning, gastrostomy (G-tube) management, catheterization, seizure management, and support during bus rides. An itinerant per diem nurse position covering countywide schools is also available. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver specialized nursing care to students with complex medical needs within school environments • Perform procedures including tracheostomy care, suctioning, gastrostomy tube feedings, ventilator support, and catheterizations • Monitor students’ health status and respond to medical emergencies as needed • Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to support student well-being and educational goals • Document nursing activities and maintain detailed health records in compliance with regulatory requirements • Provide nursing care during bus transportation when required Qualifications: • Current Pennsylvania RN or LPN license appropriate to the position applied for • Experience in pediatric nursing or school nursing is preferred • Proficiency and comfort with tracheostomy care, G-tubes, ventilators, and transportation-related nursing duties • Ability to work independently and adapt to various school settings • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with students, families, and school personnel Position Details: • Contract duration: ASAP start through June 12, 2026 • Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week • Multiple locations within Bucks County, PA This position is ideal for nurses seeking meaningful work supporting children with specialized healthcare needs in educational settings.
