A full-time Certified School Nurse (CSN) position is available for the current school year in a K-12 educational setting located in Greensburg, PA. This contract role plays a vital part in supporting the health and well-being of approximately 800 students, working collaboratively with a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for comprehensive care delivery. The nurse will serve one school, maintaining a caseload across all grade levels from kindergarten through 12th grade. Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct nursing care and health services to students, adhering to established protocols and individual healthcare plans. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Perform health screenings and assessments. • Manage student health records with accuracy and confidentiality. • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers to support student health needs. • Assist in developing health education programs and emergency response plans. • Offer guidance for chronic health conditions and promote a safe school environment. Qualifications: • Valid Pennsylvania Certified School Nurse (CSN) certificate is required. • Experience working with school-aged children across K-12 grade levels. • Strong clinical nursing skills combined with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team. • Reliable and organized, with a commitment to student wellness.
