School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Jersey City, New Jersey in Bayonne, NJ
Job Description
Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a full-time registered nurse to provide comprehensive nursing services within a high school setting for the duration of a full semester, starting immediately and ending June 26, 2026. This contract role offers 35 hours per week onsite, servicing the entire school building, and requires a candidate with previous school-based nursing experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care to high school students, managing the needs of a full school caseload
• Conduct health assessments, provide first aid, and manage chronic health conditions
• Collaborate with school staff to support student health and safety
• Maintain accurate health records and follow state regulations for school health services
Qualifications:
• Active registered nurse license and certifications valid in New Jersey
• Proven experience specifically in school nursing (clinical settings alone will not meet requirements)
• Willingness and ability to be present at the school location throughout the workweek
• Completion of required TB test and physical examination
• Successful clearance of fingerprint background checks for both the staffing agency and school district
• Flexibility to participate in interviews either in-person or via Zoom
Location:
• This role is based onsite in Orange, New Jersey, servicing a high school building.
