
School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) | Monticello, Minnesota in Big Lake, MN
Job Description
A full-time teaching position is available to support a middle school student in Monticello, MN, within a contract role spanning the current school year. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction tailored to students with mild to moderate disabilities, particularly those requiring expertise in Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct instruction in self-advocacy, expressive and receptive language, hearing assistive technology, vocabulary development, listening skills, and transition planning.
• Regularly assess and evaluate the academic and behavioral progress of the assigned student.
• Collaborate in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
• Utilize specialized TDHH certification to adapt instructional strategies for students with hearing impairments.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Current and valid TDHH certification for Pennsylvania is mandatory.
• Experience working with students experiencing mild to moderate disabilities.
• Ability to conduct situational assessments and engage with families and educational staff effectively.
• Strong understanding of hearing assistive technology and related educational strategies.
