JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A full-time, contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) with school nursing experience to serve a high school setting in Orange, NJ. This role spans a full semester, starting immediately and continuing through June 26, 2026. The position requires onsite presence, supporting the entire school building with district-wide nursing care. Key responsibilities include providing comprehensive health services to students, managing health plans, and collaborating with staff to promote a safe and healthy educational environment. Candidates must have prior experience in a school settingnot just clinical experienceand hold an active school nurse license and certifications valid in New Jersey. The nurse will be a critical resource for the school's health needs, requiring a strong ability to engage with students, faculty, and parents. Qualifications and requirements: • Active NJ school nurse licensure and certifications • Previous school-based nursing experience (clinical-only experience is insufficient) • Ability to work 35 hours per week, full time • Compliance with fingerprinting requirements for both agency and district • Up-to-date TB test and physical examination documentation • Availability for in-person and/or Zoom interviews • Willingness to provide school-wide support and be present onsite during school hours This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on student health and wellness across the school community.
