School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Petaluma, California in Petaluma, CA

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Provide specialized nursing care as a 1:1 full-time Registered Nurse supporting a 4th grade student with newly diagnosed type 1 diabetes and autism. This role involves daily hands-on management of diabetic care and insulin administration, ensuring the childs health and safety throughout the school day. The nurse will accompany the student from their home in Rohnert Park, CA, to school in San Rafael, CA, and return at days end. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive 1:1 nursing care focused on diabetes management, including insulin administration via vial and syringe before meals and as needed • Monitor and address the students medical needs throughout the school day, providing timely intervention when necessary • Collaborate with school staff and family to ensure coordinated care and effective communication • Maintain accurate health records and comply with all relevant health and safety protocols • Participate in onsite interviews as part of the hiring process Qualifications: • Active California RN license required • Current CPR/BLS certification • Experience in pediatric or school-based nursing highly preferred • Ability to pass both drug screening and background check • Compassionate and attentive approach to pediatric nursing Location: • Work location involves travel between Rohnert Park, CA, and San Rafael, CA Benefits and Perks: • Competitive hourly pay range • Weekly direct deposit for timely payment • Medical, dental, and vision insurance options available • 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions • Continuing education reimbursement to support professional growth This position runs on a contract basis for the school year, offering approximately 37.5 hours per week.
