A healthcare opportunity is available for three Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide school nursing services in a K-12 school setting within Bucks County, Pennsylvania. These full-time contract positions offer the chance to support students requiring specialized medical care during the 2025/2026 school year.
Locations include Hilltown, Langhorne, and the Doylestown surrounding area. Each position involves close collaboration with students requiring 1:1 nursing care, with specific medical responsibilities varying by location:
• Hilltown Area: Proactive respiratory care including suctioning, G-tube management, catheterization, and accompanying students on the bus.
• Langhorne Area: PRN suctioning, tube feeding, seizure management, and bus rides.
• Itinerant Per Diem position: Countywide coverage in the Doylestown area, providing flexible nursing care where needed.
Qualifications:
• Active Pennsylvania RN or LPN license, depending on the position applied for
• Experience in pediatric or school nursing preferred
• Comfort and proficiency with tracheostomy care, G-tube feeding, ventilator management, and accompanying children on buses
• Ability to work independently and follow care protocols in a school environment
Responsibilities:
• Deliver direct nursing care aligned with individualized healthcare plans
• Monitor and respond to students’ medical needs throughout the school day
• Ensure safe transport and support on school buses as required
• Communicate effectively with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
