School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Warwick, Rhode Island in Warwick, RI

A part-time licensed nurse is needed to support an elementary school located in Warwick, RI. This contract-to-hire position offers a unique opportunity to provide nursing care and health support for young students within the school setting. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver daily nursing care and health services to elementary-aged children • Monitor students’ health and manage chronic conditions during school hours • Collaborate closely with school staff and supervisors such as paraprofessionals or LPNs • Maintain accurate health records and follow district protocols • Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school Qualifications: • Current and valid RN or LPN license • Experience working in a school or pediatric nursing environment preferred • Ability to work part time, approximately 16 hours per week during morning and afternoon sessions (8:00–9:30 AM and 2:45–4:15 PM) • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate care within a school setting • Commitment to student safety and confidentiality Location and Schedule: • Based in Warwick, RI at an elementary school • Contract-to-Hire with an anticipated start date as soon as possible through June 20th • Part-time, 4 hours daily; school pays for 4 hours regardless of direct student contact time This role offers the chance to make a positive impact on children’s health in an educational environment with the support of a supervising team.
