As part of the School Health Nursing program, we support students from K-12, ensuring their health is a key component of their academic success. Our skilled team, which includes registered nurses and health specialists, provides essential services such as first aid, medication administration, health education, and care plan development for chronic illnesses.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide immediate care and support for physical and emotional health needs of students.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for students with chronic conditions.
• Ensure compliance with state health mandates, including immunization verification.
• Offer health counseling and educational support to students and staff.
• Facilitate connections between families and healthcare resources.
• Respond effectively to health emergencies on-site, maintaining professionalism under pressure.
Qualifications:
• Current RN license in Massachusetts.
• BSN preferred.
• AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
• Experience in community, pediatric, or school nursing is essential.
• Ability to work with diverse, multicultural, and multilingual populations.
