A full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) position is available to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a 4th-grade student with a seizure disorder in an elementary school setting in East Providence, RI. This role requires specialized medical care combined with classroom assistance, making it ideal for CNAs experienced in pediatric or school environments. Responsibilities: • Provide 1:1 support to a student with a seizure disorder and a vagus nerve stimulator (VNS). • Be prepared to administer emergency seizure medication as trained. • Collaborate closely with the on-site RN, including receiving cross-training. • Assist with paraprofessional and classroom duties to support the students educational experience. • Monitor and respond to the students medical and behavioral needs within the school environment. Qualifications: • Active Rhode Island CNA license required. • Prior experience in school or pediatric settings highly preferred. • Comfort and confidence working with students who have complex medical and behavioral requirements. • Ability to follow medical protocols and emergency procedures with precision. Location: East Providence, Rhode Island Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (no student transportation duties) Contract Duration: Approximately 2 months, starting ASAP, with potential extension based on upcoming IEP evaluations.
