Provide specialized nursing support as a Certified Nursing Assistant in an elementary school setting, offering 1:1 care for a student with a seizure disorder. This position combines medical responsibilities with classroom support, within a structured school schedule offering holidays and weekends off. Location: East Providence, RI Position Type: Contract (approx. 2 months; potential extension based on IEP meeting) Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 AM 2:30 PM Student Transport: Not required Key Responsibilities: • Deliver 1:1 nursing care to a 4th-grade student with a seizure disorder requiring close monitoring. • Administer emergency seizure medication if medically trained and necessary. • Collaborate closely with the on-site RN, receiving cross-training to ensure proper care procedures. • Assist with paraprofessional and classroom support as needed, helping to create a positive learning environment. Qualifications: • Active Rhode Island Certified Nursing Assistant license required. • Prior experience in pediatric or school-based healthcare preferred. • Comfortable managing both medical and behavioral needs of students. • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary educational setting.
