School Registered Nurse (RN) - 1:1
Location: Mount Vernon, NY
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is seeking passionate and dedicated Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our team in Mount Vernon, NY. We have immediate openings for RNs to work within school settings giving one-on-one care for special needs students.
As a School Registered Nurse (RN) in Mount Vernon, NY, you will play a vital role in providing health services to students.
Job Details:
• Providing direct one-on-one nursing care to special needs students
• Monday-Friday
• 7:30am - 3:30pm
Responsibilities:
For One-to-One Nurse:
• Provide one-on-one nursing care to students with special medical needs, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and addressing any health concerns or emergencies that may arise.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with parents, healthcare providers, and school personnel to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on the student's health status and progress.
• Advocate for the student's health and educational needs within the school setting, ensuring that they have access to appropriate accommodations and support services.
RN School Nurse Job Requirements:
• Registered Nurse in New York: You must hold a valid and active Registered Nurse license in the state of New York.
• Current BLS Certification: Possession of current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
• One (1) year of professional nursing experience.
