School Registered Nurse | Bolingbrook, Illinois in Bolingbrook, IL

A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) is sought to serve as a School Nurse in a middle school setting located in Bolingbrook, IL. This contract position extends through the current school year, from ASAP through June 4, 2026, with approximately 31 hours per week of onsite work. Responsibilities: • Coordinate and deliver comprehensive school health services to students and staff, promoting health and wellness within the school community. • Implement and manage school health programs, ensuring compliance with state and district regulations. • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel regarding health concerns and interventions. • Maintain accurate health records and documentation utilizing school reporting and data systems. • Support emergency care efforts, including first aid and CPR as necessary. • Demonstrate professionalism, energy, flexibility, and initiative in addressing student health needs. Qualifications: • Current Registered Nurse license valid in the State of Illinois. • Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred. • Completion and certification of first aid and CPR programs required. • Appropriate School Nurse Professional Education License (PEL) preferred but not mandatory. • Strong verbal and written communication skills with well-developed interpersonal abilities. • Ability to lift or move items up to 20 pounds occasionally and possess fine finger dexterity for data entry.
