This contract role supports a student with medical needs, requiring a compassionate and attentive nurse to accompany the student throughout the school day. The position offers part-time hours in a supportive educational environment, making a meaningful impact on a young student's daily experience. Responsibilities include: • Providing close supervision and assistance to a student with a documented seizure plan during school hours • Assisting the student from bus pickup through the school day (8:30 am to 2:00 pm), ensuring safety and comfort • Managing seizure-related care and responding appropriately according to established protocols • Supporting mobility with safe use of equipment, including a drop harness and helmet • Collaborating with school staff and family for effective communication of the students health status Qualifications: • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license • Experience in pediatric nursing, preferably in school or similar settings • Ability to work onsite 3 days per week, with flexible scheduling as needed • Strong observational and documentation skills • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Location: Gardiner, Maine Position Type: Contract, school calendar year duration (CSY) Hours: Approximately 24 hours per week (3 days onsite) This role provides a unique opportunity to utilize nursing expertise in a school environment while fostering student health and safety.
