Job Description
A full-time Registered Nurse (RN) position is available to support three elementary schools in Madras, OR. This contract role offers a dedicated schedule Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, serving the medical needs of young students within the school community.
Responsibilities include managing routine medical care for students, particularly those with chronic conditions such as diabetes. The RN will conduct medical checks and provide immediate care as needed, collaborating closely with school staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment. There is no specific caseload, allowing focus on general student health and wellness concerns.
Qualifications:
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Experience working in a school setting or pediatric care preferred
• Knowledge of managing chronic medical conditions in children, including diabetes
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to provide compassionate care and maintain confidentiality
