A full-time Registered Nurse position is available at an elementary school in Manchester, CT, providing dedicated healthcare support to students for the remainder of the school year. This contract role involves working 7 hours per day, focusing on general school nursing responsibilities within an elementary school environment and managing an assigned caseload.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive nursing care and health assessments for students in an elementary school setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Manage student health records and maintain confidentiality.
• Respond promptly and effectively to student health emergencies.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare providers to support student well-being.
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives within the school community.
• Comply with school district policies and state regulations related to school nursing.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current state licensure.
• Previous experience in school nursing preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pediatric health issues and school nurse protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple caseloads and prioritize nursing tasks efficiently.
