School Registered Nurse | Ocean City, Maryland in Ocean City, MD

Provide specialized nursing care to a Pre-K student in an elementary school setting, supporting their complex medical needs during the school day. This role involves working closely under the direction of the school nurse to ensure the students safety, health, and comfort in the learning environment.

Location: Ocean City, MD

Duration: Contract position through the school year (ASAP - 6/11/26)

Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (7:50 AM to 3:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities
• Deliver 1:1 nursing care to a student with an open stoma from a removed tracheostomy.
• Administer oxygen on an as-needed basis and manage ongoing tube feedings throughout the day.
• Monitor and document care thoroughly, including medication administration and feeding logs, ensuring compliance with school health protocols.
• Collaborate closely with the school nurse and educational team to adapt care plans and respond to any health changes promptly.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment conducive to the students participation in school activities.

Qualifications And Experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact License valid in the state of Maryland.
• Experience providing pediatric nursing care, preferably in school or educational settings.
• Competence in managing tracheostomy care, oxygen therapy, and enteral feeding.
• Strong documentation and communication skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Ability to work independently in a 1:1 care model while collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team.
