Job Description
A full-time Registered Nurse is needed for a K-12 school setting in Oceanside, CA. This contract position spans the current school year and requires experience in school nursing. The role is ideally suited for a Certified School Nurse but open to Registered Nurses with recent school health experience and a valid California nursing license.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a district nurse overseeing health services across the school district.
Review and update student health plans to ensure compliance and safety.
Supervise Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and health technicians in daily health operations.
Conduct hearing and vision screenings for students.
Collaborate with school staff to address student health concerns and emergencies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid California Registered Nurse license.
Recent experience working as a nurse in K-12 schools.
Certification as a School Nurse preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to manage and supervise healthcare personnel effectively.
