Registered Nurse District Float Position (Full-Time, Contract) Location: Southeast Florida Coast Assignment Duration: ASAP through June 2, 2026 Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week Setting: K-12 Schools within the district (up to 4 schools) On-site requirement: This is a fully on-site position; no hybrid or remote options available. This role requires a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide skilled nursing services across multiple schools within the district. The RN will deliver specialized care including but not limited to G-tube feedings, tracheostomy and ventilator management, diabetes monitoring, seizure response, suctioning, toileting, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). The assignment offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced educational environment supporting children with complex medical needs. Key Responsibilities: • Provide skilled nursing care to students requiring 1:1 nursing support or bus riding accompaniment as needed • Train and delegate tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) to ensure continuity of care • Participate in IEP, 504, and hospital homebound meetings to advocate for student health and educational success • Collaborate closely with healthcare and educational teams to develop and implement individualized care plans • Flexibly cover nurse absences throughout the district, maintaining consistent, reliable coverage Qualifications: • Active Registered Nurse license with Nursys verification • Current CPR/BLS certification • Proven experience managing G-tubes, tracheostomies, ventilators, diabetes care, seizures, suctioning, diapering, and toileting in a pediatric or school setting • Ability to handle fast-paced environments with excellent communication skills • Reliable transportation to travel within the district to assigned schools • Flexibility and full-time availability throughout the contract duration • Fingerprinting clearance per state requirements This full-time contract role offers an enriching chance to impact student health across multiple schools in a dynamic school district setting.
