School Registered Nurse | Rochester, New Hampshire in Berwick (CDP), ME

A school health professional is needed to support a middle school student with Type I diabetes in Rochester, NH. This is a contract position for the current school year, providing essential care and supervision to ensure the student’s health and safety during school hours and transportation.

Key Qualifications:
• Licensed RN or LPN
• LPN candidates must have training and experience managing Type I diabetes
• Ability to provide 1:1 health support under RN supervision (for LPNs)
• Experience with school nursing preferred
• Must be able to ride the school bus as part of daily duties
• Reliable and punctual with flexibility for early releases

Location:
• Middle school in Rochester, NH

Responsibilities:
• Provide daily health care management for a 1:1 male student with Type I diabetes
• Monitor and administer insulin and other diabetes care as needed
• Collaborate with school staff and an RN supervisor regarding the student’s health plan
• Accompany the student on the bus, ensuring safety during transportation to and from school
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate any concerns promptly

Schedule:
• Monday through Friday, full-time equivalent
• School hours approximately 7:30 a.m. to 2:20 p.m.
• Bus riding time extends the workday roughly from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with occasional early release days
• Contract from ASAP through June 15, 2026
