A registered nurse (RN) with expertise in school health and case management is sought for a contract role supporting a K-12 educational setting in Santa Barbara, CA. This position focuses on providing specialized nursing services to a student with medical needs, including conducting a critical triennial reassessment. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct a comprehensive triennial reassessment for a child requiring ongoing medical support. • Develop and update individualized health care plans in coordination with educational staff and medical aides. • Collaborate closely with the students parents and meet with them and the student at least once in person to address health concerns and support needs. • Provide case management to ensure continuity of care and integration between medical and educational services. • Assist in coordinating and supporting daily nursing needs as identified. Qualifications and Experience: • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) credential required. • Experience in school nursing with a focus on case management preferred. • Familiarity with K-12 health protocols and working within educational environments. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with families, healthcare personnel, and school staff. • Ability to work independently and manage time flexibly. Work Schedule and Location: • Up to 3 hours per week, with the flexibility to spread hours throughout the week or consolidate into one day. • Position can be hybrid or fully in person to accommodate needs. • Immediate availability with start date as soon as June 3rd, 2026.
