A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a certification in school nursing is needed for an itinerant role supporting multiple K-12 schools in the Wilkes-Barre, PA area. This contract assignment runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY) and offers an opportunity to deliver essential nursing care across a diverse student population, including elementary, middle, and high school settings. Location and Schedule • Itinerant position based primarily at the Personalized Academy of Learning (PAL) Program • Coverage includes PAL plus four additional schools with 1-2 classrooms each • Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:20 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. • Student age range spans Kindergarten through 12th grade Key Responsibilities • Provide nursing services including medication administration, triage of illness and injuries, and health monitoring across assigned schools • Serve as primary nurse at PAL, with roaming responsibilities at other school sites • Collaborate with school staff and caregivers to support student health and safety • Conduct routine health screenings and maintain accurate health records for students in multiple educational settings Qualifications • Current Pennsylvania RN license required • Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential preferred • Previous experience in school nursing and/or pediatric care strongly desired • Ability to manage multiple sites efficiently and effectively This role offers meaningful work supporting student health within a dynamic school community.
