Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A licensed Registered Nurse (RN) is needed to provide comprehensive healthcare services in a K-12 school environment in Windham, ME. This contract position covers the school calendar year, specifically from January 19 to approximately February 27. The work schedule is from 7 : 45 AM to 3 : 15 PM.

The RN will be responsible for managing the health needs of the entire student body, which includes approximately 445 students. Among them are 2-3 students with diabetes and others with seizure action plans, requiring specialized care.

Key responsibilities include :

Monitoring and managing daily health concerns for sick students

Administering prescribed medications accurately and safely

Providing diabetic care and management for affected students

Implementing seizure plans as necessary

Maintaining health records and communicating with school staff and parents as appropriate

Qualifications and experience :

Current RN license with school nursing experience preferred

Ability to handle a broad caseload including chronic conditions such as diabetes and seizures

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Effective communication skills for interacting with students, families, and school personnel
