Job Description
A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in school nursing to cover a maternity leave in a K-12 setting located in Burnsville, MN. This on-site position starts immediately and extends through June 4, 2026, providing essential healthcare services primarily supporting the Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) and BES Transition programs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students within ECSE and transition programs.
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and provide first aid or medication administration as needed.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate health plans with school staff and families.
• Provide health education and support to students, staff, and families.
• Serve as a district float or temporary substitute nurse if reassigned due to changing needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Current Minnesota RN license in good standing.
• CPR and BLS certification required.
• Experience or training in school nursing preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, educational environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Location:
• On-site position located in Burnsville, MN within a public school district serving K-12 students.
