Job Description
A dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for school health services is sought for a full-time contract position supporting K-5 students in a Chicago-based K-12 school. This role involves managing the health room and providing essential nursing care within the school environment throughout the current school year.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care and health assessments for K-5 students in the health room
• Manage and administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement student health plans
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with regulations
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and coordinate care with healthcare providers
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives among students and staff
Qualifications:
• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Nurse endorsement
• Experience working as an RN in a school setting preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work onsite full-time, 33.75 hours per week
