A specialized opportunity is available for experienced operating room nurses with expertise in orthopedic trauma and multiple surgical specialties. This contract position is ideal for nurses located at least 50 miles from Thornton, NH, with a preference for those holding NBSTSA certification, though it is not mandatory. Certified nurses will receive priority consideration.
Key qualifications and desired experience for this role include:
Proficiency in orthopedic surgeries, including total joint replacements
Experience with gynecological procedures, including cesarean sections
Skilled in urology, general surgery, and sports medicine related to spine care
Comfortable working with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric
Familiarity with Cerner EMR system is advantageous
Ability to manage call responsibilities approximately six to seven shifts per month, including extended weekend coverage
Responsibilities encompass supporting surgical teams in a Level III trauma setting, providing safe, efficient perioperative nursing care across multiple specialties. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent teamwork, and adaptability to varied surgical cases and patient needs.
