Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) -Shock Trauma PACU Full-Time - Night shift; 7pm-7am Baltimore, Maryland • $20K Sign on Bonus* University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) is looking for extraordinary Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our nursing team.Come elevate your skills and experience by working with a world-class, Magnet designated (3 times in a row) Academic Medical Center. UMMC is the flagship academic medical center at the heart of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) located in downtown Baltimore. Job Summary The Shock Trauma PACU is a 12-bay unit with a 24/7 team, providing peri-anesthesia care specializing in traumatic injury management 365 days a year. Vigilant pre and post-operative care is provided to outpatients and inpatients undergoing scheduled or emergency surgery by more than 20 surgical and procedural services. This unique team also supports the mission of the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center through their clinical flexibility outside of traditional peri-anesthesia care, including procedural space and patient overflow from the Trauma Resuscitation Unit. Not your typical PACU. Nurses must be competent in titration of vasopressors, airway management, care of ventilated patients, blood product administration and fluid resuscitation. Qualifications • Currently licensed as an RN in the state of Maryland or eligible to practice under a compact license; • BSN preferred (Associates Nurses with at least 1+ years of experience); • All applicants must have at least 1-2 yrs. preferred experience in ICU such as Surgical, Medical, and Neuro in an inpatient facility • Minimum 1 year ICU experience required.
