Location: Phoenix, AZ 85021
Type: Contract
Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Monday–Friday
Pay Rate: $60 – $66/hr

Position Summary:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) to provide individualized medical care and continuous health monitoring for a medically complex student in accordance with her Individualized Education Program (IEP). The RN will accompany the student from home to school on the bus, provide care throughout the school day, and return with the student at dismissal. The student requires ongoing health support, monitoring, and breathing treatments during school hours.

Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 nursing care for a medically fragile student per IEP requirements
• Monitor and assess the student’s health status throughout the school day
• Administer medications, breathing treatments, and other prescribed medical interventions
• Accompany the student on transportation to and from school
• Maintain accurate and current medical records, including medications, treatments, and observations
• Respond to student health emergencies and provide appropriate nursing interventions
• Communicate student health needs with instructional staff and support teams
• Coordinate and assist with medical appointments as needed
• Educate the student on personal hygiene and overall health, as appropriate
• Keep parents/guardians informed of the student’s health status
• Collaborate with physicians, school health centers, and specialists
• Conduct routine health screenings and surveys as required
• Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
• Participate in required training, provided in the student’s home or school setting

Required Qualifications:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in the State of Arizona
• Active FPCC
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Hepatitis B Vaccine
• COVID-19 Vaccine
• Completion of a physical assessment skills course
• Eligible for Arizona School Nurse Certification

Preferred Qualifications:
• Three (3) years of experience in pediatric nursing or urgent care
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special healthcare needs
• Knowledge of medically fragile and handicapped children
• Strong physical assessment skills (sports injury experience a plus)
• American Sign Language (ASL) experience preferred
