Department: North 1 Med Surg Shift: Primarily Nights (United States of America) Employee Type: Regular Per Diem Type (if applicable): Minimum Pay Range: $55.77 - $69.71 Job Description: POSITION SUMMARY The Staff RN provides nursing care according to Marshall Medical Center's (MMC's) standard of practice, assuming responsibility and accountability for Medical/Surgical & Telemetry patients within designated time frames, following the nursing process. Maintains good public relations by interacting with patients, visitors, physicians and other staff members in a friendly and professional manner. The Staff RN functions as a patient advocate at all times and oversees the performance of any non-professional whose activities impact patient care. Properly handles infectious material to ensure safety to patients and employees. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure/Certification: • California Registered Nursing (RN) License is required. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required. • Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation class preferred. Knowledge/Skills: • Prefer candidate with at least 6 months of Acute Care, Telemetry and /or Pediatric Registered Nursing experience. • Demonstrated competency in interpreting cardiac rhythm prior to independent cardiac rhythm interpretation required. • New graduates may be considered.
