We are seeking a Staffing Coordinator (CNA) to join our community committed to delivering outstanding care to our residents. As a Staffing Coordinator, you will play an important role in staffing the day-to-day operations for the Skilled Nursing department under the direction of the Director of Nursing. Join our team and inspire happiness in the lives of others!  
 
What you’ll do:
<ul>
<li>Coordinate staffing for Skilled Nursing Department under the direction of the departmental managers reporting to the Healthcare Administrator.</li>
<li>Respond to staffing issues and make coverage arrangements according to coverage guidelines while minimizing overtime.</li>
<li>Train and onboard new CNAs on Buckner policies and procedures as well as influence retention efforts with ongoing support to the team.</li>
<li>Provide training to new staff related to the medical charting system and provide ongoing support.</li>
<li>Responsible for handling call offs and coordinating with DON and ADONs regarding staffing changes resulting from call offs.  Part of an on call rotation and responsible for on call phone as assigned.</li>
<li>Coordinate with departmental managers to accommodate approved time off requests.</li>
<li>Utilize software to post open shifts and maintain staff schedules.</li>
<li>Through appropriate record retention systems, track employee absences, tardiness, and call ins.  Notify the employee's manager of any problems, patterns, or policy violations.</li>
<li>Perform nurse aide duties, as needed, to support the department.</li>
</ul>
What you’ll bring:
<ul>
<li>High School diploma or GED.</li>
<li>Current Texas Nurse Aide Certification.</li>
<li>Current CPR Certification.</li>
<li>Prior scheduling experience required.  Prior related experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility required.</li>
<li>Minimum one-year related experience preferred, or appropriate formal education or Buckner training.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of basic health care practices and procedures, including infection control.</li>
<li>Requires ability to read, write and understand business documents which are written in English.</li>
<li>Requires ability to communicate verbally with residents, families, visitors and co-workers. Requires ability to make self clearly understood by others.</li>
<li>Requires ability to understand and follow basic written and oral step-by-step instructions.</li>
