Experience • 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • 24 months of Step Down Unit experience is required with some in the last 24 months. Requirements • Candidates must have a Nebraska license or compact license (required for submission). • This role may require floating to additional units and locations • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted. Weekend Requirements: Every offer Holiday Requirements: Rotating with perm staff Floating Requirements: Yes to Med Surg or to ICU to take PCU acuity patients Beds: 40 beds with average daily census of 24 Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults, Cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, renal failure Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes - Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin RNs must read and interpret RN’s - Pass/Fail exam on Friday during orientation. OPEN BOOK exam on skills learned - they are given all necessary resources to pass. Must receive a 90% to pass or they will be terminated Candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with Common Spirit, including CHI and/or Dignity. 7 days maximum time off.
