Key Qualifications and Skills:
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with stepdown unit experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Experience with cardiac procedures such as heart catheterizations, balloon pump management, CRRT, hypothermia protocol, and cardioversion
• Proficient in managing central lines and medication drips
• Ability to work effectively within established patient ratios, maintaining high-quality care
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay efficient under pressure
• Positive attitude with an engaged and driven work ethic
Responsibilities:
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care in a 26-bed cardiac care unit with a patient ratio of 1:2
• Collaborate with a team of approximately 15 day and night shift RNs, charge nurses, and patient care technicians
• Utilize advanced medical technology including balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia equipment
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Adhere to unit policies while promoting a safe and supportive environment for patients and colleagues
