Provide critical care in a dynamic Stepdown unit within a renowned acute care hospital dedicated to excellence in patient recovery and medical innovation. Responsibilities: • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients requiring stepdown and telemetry monitoring. • Utilize EPIC electronic charting system efficiently to document patient care. • Interpret and manage dysrhythmias to ensure patient safety and effective response. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including floating to other adult acute care units as necessary. • Maintain adherence to hospital policies and uphold the standards of care associated with a Magnet/Teaching Level 1 Trauma facility. Qualifications: • Current state RN license required at start of assignment. • BCLS certification by American Heart Association mandatory. • Minimum two years of nursing experience with telemetry and stepdown care preferred; travel nursing experience is necessary. • Competency in interpreting cardiac dysrhythmias and managing telemetry patients is essential. • Preferred certifications and experience include ACLS, CPI, NIH Stroke Scale, ventilator management, and conscious sedation. • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records. Schedule & Location: • Night shift: 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) with 36 guaranteed hours or option for 4 shifts totaling 48 hours. • Must be available to work 3 weekends within a 4-week rotation. • Floating to other adult acute care units required within scope. • Located in Lansing, Michigan, offering a blend of city amenities and natural surroundings.
