This contract role involves 12-hour evening and night shifts (1900-0730), working every other weekend with holiday rotation and no call responsibilities. Ideal candidates will bring diverse ICU experience, having worked in multiple specialized units such as Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, and other adult ICU populations. Flexibility to assist within intermediate and progressive care or general care units as needed is essential. A strong background in acute care, including at least two years of experience within the past three years and successful completion of a prior travel assignment of at least 13 weeks, is required. Experience in a Level 1 Trauma academic center and recent familiarity with Epic electronic medical records are preferred. Key Qualifications and Certifications: • Valid Wisconsin nursing license or compact license from your permanent address state • BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association • Proficiency in Basic Arrhythmia and ability to pass a Telemetry test prior to start • Acute care and multi-ICU experience with adult populations • Willingness to float between units based on staffing needs Responsibilities: • Provide high-quality nursing care across Trauma Life Center, Burn ICU, Neuro ICU, Cardiac ICU, and related critical care settings • Support shared governance and participate in an academic learning environment • Adapt fluidly to rotating clinical assignments and varying unit demands Location Overview:Situated in Waunakee, WI, this role supports a renowned academic medical center known for excellence in patient care and innovation.
