Role Details: • Schedule/Hours: Nights, 3 shifts per week 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM) 36 guaranteed hours per week • Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 4 patients • Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday rotation) • Floating: Nurses may float within their scope of practice to lower acuity floors as needed Key Responsibilities: • Manage titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, insulin drips • Care for patients with trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes • Deliver bedside care in a fast-paced acute care environment • Utilize EPIC for accurate clinical documentation • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide optimal patient outcomes Qualifications and Experience: • Registered Nurse with minimum 2 years stepdown or equivalent acute care experience • Hands-on bedside experience within the last 6 months • Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale • Pending nursing licenses accepted • Ability to work night shifts and float to other units as required Facility Highlights: • Acute care hospital with 233 staffed beds • Full support with no parking fees • Navy scrub color policy for nursing staff This is a contract position.
