A healthcare position is available for an experienced Registered Nurse with stepdown unit expertise, specializing in general medicine and oncology patient care. Key Qualifications and Experience: • Current Michigan RN License and BLS (AHA) certification • ONCC or ONS certification in hand (mandatory) • Minimum of 2 years experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown nursing • Competence in administering chemotherapy via IV and starting IVs • Familiarity with equipment such as Welch Allyn Vital Sign towers, Sigma IV pumps, and EPIC documentation system • Ability to work effectively in a nurse-to-patient ratio ranging from 1:4 to 1:6, with support staff assistance as needed Responsibilities and Duties: • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to gen med/oncology stepdown patients • Administer chemotherapy safely and efficiently • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members in patient treatment and monitoring • Float to other medical-surgical areas, including acute units and emergency rooms, as necessary • Adhere to scheduling including night shifts (3 x 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM) and every other weekend worked • Participate in block scheduling arrangements when requested Location Insight: Situated in Battle Creek, MI, this role is within a community known for its rich cultural offerings and strong healthcare network.
