Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to medical oncology stepdown patients • Administer chemotherapy intravenously and start IVs as required • Utilize equipment such as Welch Allyn vital sign towers and Sigma IV pumps • Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic health record system • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes • Participate in floating assignments to other medical-surgical areas, including assessment units and emergency rooms • Support appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios, with adjustments for chemotherapy admissions and staffing needs • Adhere to block scheduling availability and communicate any specific scheduling requests Qualifications & Experience: • Active Michigan Registered Nurse license • BLS certification from American Heart Association • ONCC certification OR ONS certification (pending ONS certification considered) • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Progressive Care Unit or Stepdown nursing • Proficient in chemotherapy administration and IV therapy Schedule & Hours: • Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM • Every other weekend required • Weekend assignments managed by leadership; other shifts available through self-scheduling • Must be available for first two weeks of assignment This is a contract role offering an engaging nursing experience with flexibility and professional growth.
