Responsibilities: • Provide comprehensive nursing care to step-down unit patients, maintaining a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 • Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms with precision • Conduct IV starts and administer medications following facility protocols • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure patient safety and timely interventions • Maintain documentation using Cerner EMR system • Adhere to attendance and call-off policies to support team reliability Qualifications & Experience: • Active RN license with current BCLS and ACLS certifications • Minimum two years’ experience in Step-down nursing with at least one year in telemetry or medical-surgical step-down care • Skilled in reading cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips • IV start proficiency • Ability to work night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. including weekdays and every other weekend Schedule: • 3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) • Weekday shifts with every other weekend required Contract Details: • Immediate start • 13-week duration with possibility for extension • Facility requires strong attendance with limited call-offs permitted Advance your nursing career in a rewarding role supporting patient recovery in a step-down setting.
