Job Description
Provide specialized nursing care as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Stepdown unit within a well-respected healthcare setting in Clermont, FL. This contract opportunity offers skilled nurses the chance to apply their expertise in pediatric critical care, supporting children transitioning from intensive care to less acute settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver compassionate, family-centered care in the Pediatric Stepdown unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, particularly post-PICU or Pediatric PCU cases.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal recovery.
• Float within the children's hospital between PCU and medical-surgical levels as assigned.
• Maintain compliance with clinical protocols while prioritizing patient safety.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
• Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Minimum of 1 year of direct experience in either Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or Pediatric Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Floating experience in PICU or Pediatric PCU alone will not fulfill requirements.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications mandatory.
• Ability to work 6 weekend shifts over a 6-week schedule.
• Professional presentation in navy blue scrubs is required.
