Stepdown Registered Nurse | Hamilton, Ohio in Fairfield, OH

Exceptional opportunity for a Registered Nurse with Stepdown unit experience in a dynamic healthcare setting in Hamilton, OH. This contract role offers an engaging environment caring for patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions, including heart failure, chest pain rule outs, and post-procedure management.

Key Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum 1.5 years of Stepdown (SD) or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience; ICU experience alone does not qualify
• Proven ability to maintain patient ratios between 1:5 and 1:6 effectively
• EPIC electronic medical record system proficiency
• Current BLS and NIH certifications required; ACLS preferred
• Competent in EKG telemetry assessment and interpreting cardiac strips
• Skilled in IV starts and management of multiple drips including heparin, nitroglycerin, amiodarone, Cardizem, insulin, etc.
• Ability to wear and be fitted for N95 respirators as needed
• Night shift availability with a schedule of 4 twelve-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Flexibility to float across campuses if necessary, including occasional work on weekends and holidays
• Travel nursing experience preferred
