Stepdown Registered Nurse - Lakewood, Ohio in Lakewood, OH

A registered nurse with expertise in stepdown care is needed for a contract position in the Endoscopy Suite of a level III trauma center located in Lakewood, OH. The role focuses on supporting gastroenterology and pulmonology procedures, requiring familiarity with specialized equipment and techniques. Responsibilities: • Circulate and assist providers during endoscopy procedures • Reprocess scopes following stringent safety protocols • Handle gastroenterology and pulmonology cases, including GI bleeds and food bolus removals • Operate and monitor equipment such as Bravo, Speedbanding, and ERBE devices • Participate in on-call rotation shared among three staff members for weekday evenings and overnight weekend coverage Qualifications: • Valid RN license with stepdown experience • Proficiency with endoscopy suite instrumentation and procedures • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, trauma-level environment • Excellent communication and team collaboration skills • Prior experience with Bravo pH monitoring, Speedbanding techniques, and ERBE electrosurgical units preferred Schedule: • Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, with a variable day off • Evening and weekend on-call responsibilities as described About the Location: Lakewood, OH, is a vibrant lakefront community offering a blend of urban amenities and a welcoming suburban feel.
