Stepdown Registered Nurse - Lusby, Maryland in Lusby, MD

Responsibilities • Provide direct nursing care in a stepdown (IMC/PCU) setting, managing complex patient needs • Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and implement treatment plans • Float to Telemetry and Medical-Surgical units as needed, maintaining appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (1:5/1:6) • Adhere to unit protocols and follow ACLS and BLS guidelines • Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and pass required competency exams including the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum score of 80%, and 100% on lethal rhythms Qualifications / Desired Experience • Active RN license with at least 2 years of professional experience in PCU/IMC/Stepdown nursing • ACLS and BLS certification required • Experience with telemetry patient care and float experience to medical-surgical preferred • Ability to pass required EKG competency exam prior to assignment • Availability to work 3x12 hour shifts from 1845 to 0715, every other weekend, with no call Schedule / Hours • 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1845 - 0715) • Includes every other weekend coverage This contract role welcomes first-time travel nurses and locals within 60 miles may inquire for adjusted terms.
