Stepdown Registered Nurse - Maryville, Tennessee in Maryville, TN

A registered nurse with stepdown experience is needed for a night shift position located in Maryville, TN. This contract role offers the opportunity to provide critical care in a focused stepdown unit, supporting patients who require close monitoring and professional nursing care. Responsibilities include managing patient care for a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, utilizing total patient care skills within a 16-bed stepdown unit. The position requires expertise in using Cerner EMR for accurate documentation and communication. You will collaborate closely with the healthcare team to deliver quality, safe, and effective care during 7 PM to 7 AM shifts. Note that no call shifts and no block scheduling are aspects of the schedule; however, a 48-hour float may occasionally be required. Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Current RN licensure • BLS and ACLS certification, including completion of all ACLS modules • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a stepdown or similar acute care setting • Ability to provide comprehensive total patient care • Familiarity with Cerner electronic medical records system • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Location Overview: Maryville, TN is a vibrant community known for its friendly atmosphere and close proximity to scenic outdoor areas like the Great Smoky Mountains.
