A healthcare facility in Matthews, NC, seeks an experienced RN for a stepdown nursing position on a contract basis. This role involves caring for patients with complex medical conditions, requiring specialized skills in progressive care unit (PCU) nursing to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include managing care for patients with diagnoses such as COPD, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, renal failure, sepsis, and those requiring tracheostomy and mechanical ventilation support. You will provide critical interventions including titratable IV drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, wound care, and blood product administration. Collaboration with a supportive multidisciplinary team, including CNAs and specialty staff, is vital to delivering comprehensive care.
