Stepdown Registered Nurse | Rogers, Arkansas in Rogers, AR

A registered nurse with expertise in stepdown care is needed to provide critical and responsive patient support in a 13-week contract position located in Rogers, Arkansas. This role focuses on delivering nursing care in an acute care/stepdown and telemetry setting during night shifts. Essential competencies include applying the Nursing Process aligned with state regulations and hospital protocols, exercising clinical judgment, and leading nursing staff to maintain high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care on PCU/Telemetry units. • Utilize critical thinking and scientific judgment to anticipate patient needs. • Lead and delegate nursing tasks to appropriate staff based on experience and education. • Maintain clinical skills through ongoing education and training. • Float to telemetry and medical-surgical units as necessary. Qualifications and Experience: • Active Registered Nurse license. • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in stepdown nursing. • Current ACLS and BLS certifications. • Ability to work night shifts, including every other weekend (approximately 6:45 p.m.–7:15 a.m.). • Must be located more than 50 miles from work location for contract eligibility.
